One of the first decisions we help customers make isn't about panel brand or wattage — it's which type of system configuration actually fits their situation. Here's how the three main options compare for a typical Hyderabad home.

On-grid (grid-tied) systems

This is what most residential customers in Hyderabad choose, and for good reason. An on-grid system stays connected to the TSSPDCL grid, exporting surplus power during the day through net metering and drawing from the grid at night. It's the most cost-effective option because it doesn't require expensive battery storage — the grid effectively acts as your "battery," absorbing excess generation and supplying power when your panels aren't producing.

Best for: homes with reliable grid connectivity that want the fastest payback and lowest upfront cost.

Off-grid systems

An off-grid system is fully independent of the utility grid, storing generated power in batteries for use whenever it's needed — including at night or during outages. This independence comes at a real cost: battery banks are expensive, need periodic replacement, and the system has to be sized generously to cover cloudy days without running short.

Best for: remote properties without reliable grid access, such as certain farmhouses or agricultural sites.

Hybrid systems

A hybrid system combines the best of both: it's grid-tied for net metering benefits, but includes battery backup for critical loads during outages — lights, fans, Wi-Fi routers, and similar essentials. It's a middle-ground option in both cost and capability, appealing to homes in areas with frequent power cuts who still want the economics of grid-tied solar.

Best for: homes that experience regular outages and want backup power without going fully off-grid.
